BIOGRAPHY

Tina B Smith grew up in southern WV, where she began singing at the age of three. Her Dad was in various bands, so she was singing on stage with him by the time she was five years old. She has been playing guitar since she was about seven years old, and remembers her dad taking her to the music store in Tazewell, VA, to pick out her own guitar when she was ten. Oh yes, it was the Yamaha which her Grandma always referred to as the “Honda”!  Music has always been a big part of her life. She has precious memories of her grandparents, aunts and uncles, and dad playing guitars and singing hymns after Sunday dinner.

Tina’s life got busy with work and college, and for a time music wasn’t a priority.  Then God started writing songs on napkins, or whatever was in the car with her, while she was driving down the road! Tina knew these were songs from God and that people needed to hear them, so she began recording in 2007. That was the beginning of a Song Service somewhere every Sunday, as well as Ladies’ Meetings and Special Event dates in between. She has a unique musical style that stems from her love of different genres at different time periods in her life. Recently, God impressed upon Tina to write a Book, so she sat down at the computer and started it that night. As she was writing a page each night, some friends were eager to have the content, so she stopped at 30 Bible study lessons and sent the book to a printer. Now with four Gospel CDs and a Bible Study Book, Tina’s mission is to spread the Word of God through the songs and book(s) that God gives to her.

Tina lives in Fancy Gap, VA, on top of a mountain where she yearned to be for years; the place she feels closest to God, and where her mind is free to receive songs and books from Him. She is blessed to get to work from home as a successful Mary Kay Senior Sales Director, Singer, Songwriter, Guitarist and Author. Tina has one son, Will Smith, who makes his mom proud with his faithfulness to God and his church home, his Christian influence on others, and his amazing work ethic. Her son, parents, and special friends have always been her amazing support group.  She feels blessed to have each of them in her life.
